Hmm +9 and counting to your post count for a thread wanting to save a couple mouse clicks to see it. That number is really meaningful.

It's a security blanket and pacifier for those who have little else. A false religion of counting for those who don't know to put their faith in some real, concrete knowledge that actually works.

Most of you aren't even dedicated enough to be real post counters anyway. For you it's only a number, a real post counter shoots off one toe every 1000 posts.. Just a bunch of post count hoes here, not the clergy.
    +1

hmmmmmm, I will shortly lose my 4th toe. You could call me a 3-toed sloth

For someone who is self-proclaimed as intelligent, you (Alan) never fail to surprise me. pot-kettle-black isn't it ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

I never use a cordless. I need the cable to trace it under the pile of junk. Saves batteries as well.

I would suggest that the popup filters the post count like:
    Less than 10 posts
    Less than 100
    More than 500

Less than 10 means newcomer so be gentle
Less than 100 means newbie or lazy ( )
More than 500 means - well something really important to each one
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.

I suggest we leave it the way it is and stop discussing post counts. It's trivial, and I'm sure Baldrick has better things to fill his day with

Leaving it the way it is is fine.

But suggesting that we stop discussing it would violate a few constitutional rights in every country of the world :P

This is a private board, not a democracy. Freedom of speech doesn't apply here. Remember ...membership here is not mandatory

I was voicing my opinion. I wasn't telling anyone not to discuss post counts. My post was a suggestion. Look around and you'll see that there are many "suggestions" on this forum

    Capmaster!
Don't get excited. If I offended you, I apologize.

BTW, check the toolbar next to the profile, PM and Quote buttons. There's a new one with the magnifying glass.

Hover your mouse pointer over it (no need to click) and you will see the post count show.

I wasn't getting excited or offended. That's why I used smilies in my post

I was reacting to an argument that has come up here many times over the last 2 months ......freedom of speech here at Videohelp. It's an overused argument, and totally irrelevant.

I'm the last person to stifle free exchange of ideas here. But it's ....been ....discussed........to .....death ....and I was posting my feelings about that. Nothing more.

<note playful mood as denoted by sarcastic overuse of smilies here >

    Peace, Sasi

I have no doubt of that. This past winter I saw Greece ....from the air. I never realized there were so many islands and mountains

I've noticed that you and Sasi are from the same town, SatStorm. Have you guys ever had a face-to-face? I think I would have if a regular here was from Albuquerque. I think it would be fun

I like the way the 'Post Count' problem has been resolved. The new 'button' is almost as cool as the 'Quick Reply' box down below.

Baldrick, have you ever thought of programming computers for a living?

Athens is a 5 million people City!

I just realise that SaSi is from Hellas, and I don't even know if he is from the same city with me.
No, I don't know him, neither the rest Greeks around. Neither I take PMs from Greeks.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a very bad example of the modern Hellas.

It's like the average 50s western (short off). Does that represents today's USA?

Indolikaa: No, it's true: Turks are our friends now. We let the rest E.U. handle them with love (hi hi hi hi hi, for once, be on E.U. is good for us!)
