Is InterVideo DVD Copy that great?

dvd.box.sk did rank this program as the best DVD Backup Software. I have tried most backup program and Instantcopy have been the program for me so far. However after I read this test I it sounds like this program out role IC by far. So is this program as good as they describe it?

For me, So far, this is the best one to date...It's great for placing two seperate movies (Side A, Side B) onto one side. The quality is very, very good. It's my primary/default/main program for burning copies onto disc. I've used it to do everything, but out of habit (Old habits are hard to break.., I still use DVD Shrink to fit it all onto one disk, then burn it with Intervideo DVD Copy2. I use DVD SHrink to do a deep analysis and refit, But Intervideo does it also... Not certain which would be faster, using both together, or just letting DVDCopy 2 do it's thing.... eitherway, I'm very happy and satisfied with Intervideo DVDCopy2.

is that the guide that is off last year and is very very very out of date? I would just bin that link if I was you as it's not worth the cyber space it's written on. Even at the time it was questionable as to it's findings of which was bext etc

if it is the one I'm thinking about then it uses DVDShrink version 1 and that was nowhere near what it is now

most programs have demos so it's best you invest in a DVD-RW and make your own tests

I also read dvd.box.sk and decided to give DVDCopy 2 a try. I tried to shrink a 6.8Gb D9 movie. I ended up with a ~3Gb image. That's too much compression to my liking. Does anyone know if it's a setting issue? Thanks.

I did try Intervideo DVD Copy2 after reading the review. The results were less than good, in some cases DVD Copy2 produced terrible white block artifacts which appeared in the backups (was not happy) in other cases the target size of the disc was not even close. Apparently the artifacts were supposedly fixed in an update, but this was not the case. IMO avoid this appliction at all cost. It's pathetic and a waste of money, especially when DVDshrink is free and always hits the target size.

With the advent of DVD Shrink 3.2, you would be hard-pressed to find a better transcoding solution, PERIOD.

It used to be that IC7/IC8 would produce better results (and take a couple hours to do it). But nowadays I'd say it's pretty subjective which is "better", and DVD Shrink is free!

I used it for 4 DVD backups and decided I liked Dvdshrink better, I took it off my computer and fliped the box & software into the trash.
