This is really disturbing. I've had some issues with meritline like many others in the past but just figured i'd never use them again and be done with it. I was reading a post over at cdfreaks about how sites get reviewed and which review site is best for determining which merchant to use so that I could find a merchant that was trustworthy. Bizrate was listed as one of the best sites to use because they have ample reviewers. So I go there to check out a few merchants, and just for fun I checked out meritline and what did I see, I saw a user named "GREEN" post FOUR STRAIGHT positive feedback reviews all in a ROW for meritline! I mean talk about getting caught with your hand in the cookie Jar. Meritline is really pure scum!
And I wouldn't doubt this "GREEN" person working with meritline and tainting the reviews hasn't done it before. They probably have hundreds of reviews from the same people just like this green, all made up and fake. I figured i'd post this here because i've read so many people have had nothing but problems with meritline and you can now really see how low meritline will go. Does anyone know if they can be fined for this?

This is how nasty rumors get started. You have no evidence to make such baseless claims.
For all we know, GREEN wanted to leave 4 feedbacks for 4 orders, but did it all at once. Sort of like leaving eBay feedback. Or he though he submitted, and each time didn't go through ... as quick as he thought, leaving 4 (like double posting).
It's worth noticing, but not good enough for conclusions.
More common sense, less conspiracy theory.
If people actually read reviews, any site, good or bad, you'll quickly realize most of them are crap anyway. It's a flawed system, done at the wrong time, in the wrong manner, and you always tend to get more complaints than not. A proper gauge of effectiveness of a company is using their raw customer list, and then a random sample survey. But most people have ZERO marketing sense, so they think these online user reviews make some sort of statements, which they don't. Worse yet, they comment on things that would not be part of an accurate survey, often including user error and passing their own stupidity onto the company in question.Want my help? Ask here! Meritline has never done such things on any rating website, this claim has no foundation at all. We don't know who this GREEN is, but if he/she is our customer, we apprecaite his/her comments because we believe we have done a good service. If this is some compeititor placing false comments against Meritline, we think this is very unethetical.
Again, Meritline has never ever done things like that.

> And I wouldn't doubt this "GREEN" person working with meritline and tainting the reviews hasn't done it before.
And I wouldn't doubt that you are working with meriline's competitors and just post things like this hoping to divert business from Meritline to your bosses.
> They probably have hundreds of reviews from the same people just like this green, all made up and fake.
You're probably posting accusations like this all over the internet- all made up and fake. Or just full of accusations based on assumptions based... whatever you feel like writing.
Of course I don't really think all that, but I have just as much evidence for that as you do for your accusations, so I don't believe them either.

I have ordered from Meritline about 4 or 5 times now, I never had any
problems other than ground taking a week or so, but I am on the east
coast, so shipping times are normal. I will buy again as I am satisfied with
them. If you're happy with a site, why go elsewhere? the exception
maybe being better prices!

No offense Olympiad but your accusations are retarded and you should be careful not to get yourself banned for spreading such questionable stuff.
This "Green" apparently wrote four different reviews. Therefore, if Meritline bothered writing four seperate descriptions of how they are so great, they might as well do it under different users instead of just calling themselves "Green" four times straight.
You accusation is possible just like it is possible that a mental patient locked up far far away gets his kicks by writing four reviews to a website he has never shopped from. Either way, you have no PROOF.
I can accuse "Online Shopper" who gave all thumbs down to Meritline as secretly being an agent for Shop4tech and trying to sabotage Meritline's ratings. It's just as possible.
I have never shopped at Meritline and I don't plan to but I still don't like people spreading crazy rumors. Please share your own experiences with Meritline, not you conspiracy theories.

Rima. Supermediastore. Meritline. Newegg.
These 4 are above reading reviews by posters saying how much they suck. They're all good companies. I'm willing to bet mistakes made by them, are far, far outweighed, by the great service they give to 99% of the people.
Maybe Green was even you, post the reviews, then come slander their name.

I'm about to switch my business from Meritline to Rima but not because of bad service .....because of the outdated overpricing of Taiyo Yuden DVD-R media at Meritline. A shame because I was really happy with their service
TY 8X at Meritline $0.98/ea. in 100 spindle:

OH i'm sure it's Fraud on meritline's part, obviously the ones who say green could of posted four seperate reviews don't know much about bizrate. I don't know a whole lot but I did post a review a few months back and it was a real hassle to get it posted. I had to log into my email account and click on a link to activate the review then WAIT a couple of days for them to send me a CONFIRMATION email and then click that too.
No, B.S, that's clear Fraud by meritline. Noone is gonna post four seperate reviews when you've got to go through hell to get even one posted. This is self-promotion at it's worst. Try and post a review for a company there and you'll see. But hey, I was just bringing this to everyone's attention because it doesn't surprise me a bit that meritline does these types of things. But it certainly puts a whole new meaning to the word unethical.
