  1. Hi all

    Is there a way of encoding a mpeg2 (or 4) video without the chroma (color) information? (some sort of 4:0:0 video, only with luminance information) It would be a "black and white" (grayscale) video.

  2. VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 has a "grayscale" filter that may do what you want.

  3. If you use AVISynth then use the following command:

    Greyscale()

    it does a perfect, clean B&W image.

    I think you can do this at TMPGenc:
    Setting - Advance - Simply colour correction.
    (Or is it Costum colour correction?)
