hi. i have a nvidia geforce 2 mx w/tv out video card. but the video out is an s-video connector. i was trying to output some movies to vcr but my vcr only has an rca input. so i searched the web for sites that carry adapters and most of them were like $30 and thats a lot of money for one cable. i found one at

for only $5.99 but i also heard that if you buy a cheap adapter, the video can be screwed up because of the Y/C intensity/color part of the s-video connector. i heard that the cheap adapters will show up black and white and they will flicker. i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this or if u could recommend that i buy that one.

i also found another adapter at the same site.

its only 6 bucks and instead of outputting from the svideo port, it goes straight from the monitor output on your computer. does anyone know if this is a good idea either? i'm worried if i buy this one that the picture will also be screwed up as well.

if anyone has any advice or experience with outputting to vcr, please tell me.
    THANKS A BUNCH!!

  2. Radio Shack has a decent adaptor. The RCA connector is female so you'll probably need RCA male-male patch cable also.
