    This seems to be a very fast converter and maybe does what I want which is to convert asf files to dvd format..But at 29 dollars ?..I am sure it is worth it but I thought I would ask and see if there was any other programs that do the same that is free or shareware.Thank you

    This one is free and will convert ASF to AVI. Then you can encode using any authoring or editing apps:

    It does have mixed reviews though

    Check out The FilmMachine. See tool reviews on the left.

    Edit: Sorry I didn't notice that you wanted to convert asf, I don't think FilmMachine does that.

    Thanks but I did try that program and it does convert but for some reason looses the sound when the dvd is wrote..the program I spoke of is so far the only one that will write..Again thanks
