that sucks about the keyboard. But actually, I switched gears and was wondering if it was possible to take the PC created levels like the one I'm working on, and convert it for XBOX. If there was a way, then you could DL my board when it's done. Don't think there is a way to do it though (that I currently know of).

  2. Nothing ever seems to work right, does it.
This game has a lot of bugs, but really fun.
I see talk of a battlefront 2 coming out at the end of this year, but it could be just talk.

I hope they do something with it. It's got a ton of potential, but it's like they aren't focusing heavily on it. I wouldn't mind seeing a battlefront that got even more interactive and incorporated All of the StarWars action together (IE: Reinact Battle for Endor, add imperial transports, add Naboo fighters, allow the Millenium Falcon to be used in action)

  5. Over ten years ago, I remember having (probably still do on 3.5" floppy) a game called XWING. It was about 3 or 4 floppy disks, wow tiny!!!(for those that don't know what a 3.5" floppy disk is, , each holds 1.4meg or so, ha ha. Bad joke I know, but don't care either, .)

It was an awsome flying battle game for it's time, I'm talking 1992-3 or so.

Hmmmm wonder if it would run under WinXP?
And Yes a new version of that would be awsome!

The 3 main types of popular gaming styles are the "first person shooters" (IE: Battlefront, RTC-WOlfenstein, GTA, etc.) "Strategy conquering" (IE: Civilizations, Warcraft III, Age of Empires, etc.), and RPG (IE: Jedi Knights, Final Fantasy, W.O.W., etc.). Slowly I seem them getting merged together. However, new RPGs take a lot of time, money, & dedication for some that are really into it, and as the phase passes, so does the ability to keep the dedicated servers going, meaning in the future, you're $50 game will be worth pennies unless you have your own server setup and enough people to keep it going. Strategy, Conquering games don't necessarily give the 1st person feeling you're in the game, but more of the controlling entity of a commander far away from the battle. Plus the rendering for so many units makes it difficult, to have very large amount of people interacting. It's the difference between playing RISK-boardgame with 6 people vs. 200. TOo much rendering for the technology and would be a bit crowded. FPS games are pretty reasonable, as they offer the ability for anyone to have a large or small server as the boards don't necessarily have to be very large.just big enough to handle the amount of players and can offer timed, and other various settings to limit game play and offer a rotation of new player to experience the fun. It's not required for the game company itself to have a major server either when people can host their own. but it still comes to the point where you have to know people after time to continue to play the game as multiplayer. An advantage is FPS games also often have single plaer boards.

I think Star Wars Is taking advantage of all of these, but they are still limited by the technology out there. I see some good things happening, once technology allows easily and for lower costs.

  7. New news of Battlefront 2.
Suppose to fix a lot of the quirks with battlefront 1 along with adding a bunch of new features.

Looks like it's going to be a lot better.
