nec 2510 having problems burning ritek g04

I just got the new Nec 2510 dual layer burner, Using Demo version of nero 6 latest version I have it in an external enclosure usb/firewire

I burned a ridata 4x-rw disc with no problems but seems to just make coasters with ritek go4's I even tried burning it at 2x and still the same

the ritek go4's burn with no problems at all in my sony laptop dvd burner at 1x that is the highest speed it will burn anyway and my desktop pioneer 105 any idea's what I am doing wrong

they fail at lead in on 1% I am trying out Nero 6 before I buy it. I have used version 5 for the last few years with no problems but Nero 5 does not recognize the drive. Maybe I am missing something with Nero 6 since I am not familiar with it

I just recently got this drive and I only use Ritek media. Unfortunately most of my blanks are RitekG03 as I bought a bunch before they stopped making them and still haven't used them all up. However, I did have one RitekG04 that I burned with the 2510A and had no problems. I use RecordNow Max 4.50 to burn, so I'm afraid I'm not much help with Nero. Perhaps try a different program?

I also use those Ritek G05s without any problems even at 8x burning speeds.

Where did you buy those G05s? Make sure you only buy from reputable vendors.

Did you try updating your Firmware?

try herrie.org his site has been down as of late, but he has a firmware that will upgrade you and allow to burn the ritek dl media. I had the same problem, but was fixed using his sftw.

Thanks everyone I moved the drive to my desktop and it burned a ritek g04 without a problem
