  1. I'm trying to make a backup of Star Wars, and DVD Rebuilder tells me I can't because the movie uses multiple camera angles. What is another alternative to DVD Rebuilder? I already know of DVD Shrink, but I want to use CCE SP to encode this. Can someone please help me out?

    Thanks, :P

  2. I think that DVD Rebuilder will use only the main camera angle but not the extra optional ones.

  3. It didn't even give me that option... it just told me that multiple camera angle aren't supported and that's it. It won't allow me to do anything else.

  4. Try to get a copy of the infamous DVDXCopy. DVDXCopy handles mutliple camera angles but it splits up the original DVD-9 content into two DVD-5.

Upside=DVDXCopy doesn't do any compression so no loss in quality.
    Downside=Two discs from the original.

You can first run video through shrink with no compression to strip out any angles languages subtitles, then reencode that out put with rebuilder. This is what I do but I use dvd2dvdr as I haven't been able to get rebuilder to run correctly on my system yet. good luck.

  8. damn Im having the same problem as you fudge,

I want to make a full backup of the StarWars Trilogy,

I rip the DVDs to HDD using File Mode on DVD Decrypter,
Then I run Shrink to strip unwanted audio and subs but I dont use any compression, then when I try to use Rebuilder it gives me that same message about multiple angles.

NOw I loaded the Vts file in ifoedit and the option to remove angles in VOB extras is blanked out, why is this??? I thought that is the way to remove them???

I have the PAL UK version of the trilogy.

Im basically stuck at figuring out how to remove the angles, so far no guide has worked for me as I said the option in VOB extars is blanked out for some weird reason?

    Any help appreciated.

    Try starting from the beginning.
When ripping with Decrypter DO NOT select multiangle processing. Just rip all the anles to the HD.
Do not process with Shrink yet. Do first the Angle stripping with IFOEdit and then do the Shrink stufff.

Probably mentioned in the links above but from my trials and others the easiest way to backup Star Wars is to rip with Shrink keeping angle 1 and use v60b of Rebuilder. Fixing bugs on the newer versions reintroduced some new ones affecting multi-angle backups such as this. Using Shrink has got to be a lot easier to strip angles than the other methods-I just hope this process works on other multi-angle movies.

  11. i did mate I have ripped Starwars to HDD using normal filemode.

So i loadup ifoedit0.96 > browse to to the folder loadup VTS_01_0.IFO,

I click VOB EXTRAS and the angles options are blanked out.

    found by searching
right click on vts with angles (in the left pane) and select "strip angles..."
select the angle you need and hit "keep this angle"
    done

not tried it yet, but sounds simple

    cheers,
    dave.
