  1. Hi,

    I recently rented a few dvd's and tried to play them using everything from PowerDVD, Windows Media, Ulead DVD Player, and RealPlayer unfortunately they won't let me play. On I think the RealPlayer and the Ulead Player it says because of Macrovision protection, or something like faulty Macrovision distribution.

    I used to play regular Macrovision protected movies on my computer but I can't figure out why they won't work now. The only thing that has changed is that I downloaded the new service pack for windows. Could this be my problem?

    Have you reinstalled powerDVD?

    I would try to reinstall powerDVD.

    Your mpeg2 codec may be corrupted.
