i'm following the tutorial on converting divx to DVD. i'm concerned about the part saying the you can get audio sync problems when converting divx/xvid etc. i've outputted the movie's audio file using virtual dub (as per the instructions) but will this prevent audio sync problems? I don't really want to have to leave the computer for 3 hours converting only to find there's a sync problem.
can anyone advise me on this?

It usually helps to prevent audio synch problems if you convert that way. You can always a five minute portion to see if it has synch problems before encoding the entire file.
