  1. Hi
    I downloaded a video from the internet, a avi file.
    I try to play it in windows media player and the classic player and it dont work.
    I try to see what was the codec of the file using AVICodec and it also does not display anything at all.

    Can I assume that the video is bad and i should trash it and try to downloading it again or you have something to suggest that i could try ?

    I would download again. You can only improve video files so much. Filters can work but if you can try for a better file why not???

  3. Use Gspot to check what codec the video is encoded with. If you find nothing, then I would start looking for another copy of the file.
