I have some music videos that I downloaded that are a resolution of 240X180 in WMV format. I want to convert them to DVD MPEG2. I know how to convert so that's not my problem. What I do is open it up in TMPEGEnc and set the settings to what I want and Click Start (I got that from one of the guides here on videohelp.com). The problem that I have is changing the resolution from 240X180 to 720X480. I converted 1 of them as a test and it came out blurry. When I watch it on my computer before I convert it, at the resolution that it is, it is clear. Is there a way I can change the resolution and not have it blurry?

    Hello,

Try a smaller increase with half d1 - 352x480. That shouldn't be as large of a jump and it will still be dvd compliant.

  3. 352x240 would be even better. But you still may not get very good results. Not only are the files of a small resolution, they are probably at a low bitrate too. The combination is going to make for a blurry mess when you try to upsize to any resolution that is DVD compliant.

Give it a try though, and good luck.
