  1. I use the DVD setting on Winfast 2000 to capture tv shows. Mpeg 1 audio.

When I play my recorded show on Windows Media Player it plays perfect.

When I bring the file into TMPGEnc DVD Author and play it the sound is all out of sync. Any suggestions?

Windows Media Player is not a good way to evaluate sync. I've gotten good plays in that only to find out there was always a sync problem.

Try test-authoring to HD and then use a software DVD player like PowerDVD or WinDVD to review it. Sync issues will show up there

With my winfast pvr software even though the settings say 48000 audio the captured file properties are always 44100 which is not dvd compliant

Seldom use the card anymore for that reason (also I bought compro videomate). When I do use it, I let Ulead MF2 take care of it.

This card need a 2+ ghz system to do good capture as it software encoding and cpu intensive (close background programs)

The thing is I dont even need to test author. I know the audio is out of sync. I need to know how to capture DVD quality mpeg2 with winfast 2000 and have the audio be perfectly synced when authoring. Frustrating.

I goto properties and it says 48000.
Ulead MF2 will not allow me to edit out the commercials though right?

It's not in sync from the beginning.

The link to your program is broken? Get a page not found error.

Usieing some of the pre-set profiiles yes, but not all and not if I create custom ones to lower the bitrate. Also depends on version of pvr software

Wrong. MF2 will let you do multi segment cuts. Save or dellete maked segments at your choise
