I am having a capture problem I am hoping someone can help me with:
I have some VHS tapes (both commercial releases and copies from TV) of wrestling that I really want to dump to DVD. The VCR I am using is a Phillips Hi-FI VR960 VCR and the capture card is the AIW 9800 Pro. I am using gold plated RCA Cables to connect from VCR to composite out on the capture card.
Here is the problem...........
Whenever I play any tape through the VCR, the picture comes up perfect on the TV screen, but when viewed or captured through the AIW card, I get a big white line across the top of the video as well as many other imperfections. Is there something I can do to have these tapes play well through the capture card so I can successfully capture them and author them to DVD?
Thanks!

Thanks! Can anyone recommend a good, middle-price ranged TBC that can take of this for me?

Hehe TBC's aren't cheap, most here use this one http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=185957&is=REG
You might be able to get away with a Sima video corrector.
They make VCR's with TBC's too, JVC and Panasonic. -
Commercial tapes were never meant for capturing by the card companies. Need TBC.
