Hello again all...I have a hidden device coming up in device manager with an exclamation point, by the name of oasio...any idea what this device is? I also get an error in event viewer stating this device could not be found or started, yet here it sits in my device manager...any ideas?

Not ignoring you but I really have no idea. I guess I would delete it and see if Windows re-detects it and gives you more information. I suspect it may be a motherboard component (sound ?). A program like AIDA32 or SANDRA may help identify it, or you could start with Windows System Information for hardware conficts, IRG usage, etc.

If you figure it out, please let us know what it is.

I'll assume you did NOT google search et al, but this is all I could find that referenced OASIO with regards to a computer componenet...

That's interesting. I did do a google search for simply the term oasio, but did not come up with anything I though was relevent. I tried using Jayhawk's suggestion of using Sandra, but nothing was found on it. I deleted it and it came back the next time I restarted. But I am wondering if it has something to do with the disabled sound on the motherboard? Especially since with the link you provided, I am thinking it is sound related...
