  1. I thought it's BEEN available for some time. I have already purchased and finished the game. It was pretty good, but I think overhyped too much!!

  10. Folks may not like it because it breaks new ground in gaming. You can't expect to go in with guns blazing - it is a horror fps and does a good job of keeping the gamer on his toes.

  11. I'm not a heavy gamer, as I've said before. The last game I really liked was Half Life. I'm hoping HL2 is as good, but I'm going to wait until I get the demo - or I might wind up giving it to my brother if I get it and don't like it....

I'm a big time gamer, and this game SUCKS! I expected better. I have the original Doom, Quake and many other titles created by ID Software. This by far is their worst game to date. The only reason this game sold so much is because of the reputation and gameplay of the original Doom.

My son and I played this game for about 3 hours and we haven't touched it since. He wants to trade it in for Call of Duty which is a fantastic game.

Doom 3's environment is much too small and I believe ID did this because of the graphic engine. To achieve the artistic quality that Doom 3 has will most definately cause a large drain on most systems. By keeping it small and dark your pc wouldn't have to render as much.

I agree that the artistic side is great but the overly dark and confining atmosphere takes away from what could of been the greatest 3D experience ever made.

To sum it up the game looks great but is extremely boring.
    Do unto others....with a vengeance!
