cant get dvd2vcd and tmpengc to work!!!!-should i use winavi

hi- i am a total newbie on conversion-i have tried tmpengc it keeps crashing,should i throw in the towel and use winavi???
are there compatability problems,is it any good?,does it work on most standalones??

What kind of problem are you having with TMPGEnc? it might be something we can solve.

hi-the problem is that at authoring stage,there is a missing .mpg file,and dvd author crashes.i tried to set tmpengc to "make no images" so i could manually author-but it 99% multiplexed then failed,hope i have explained it a bit
