  1. Hey,

I've got a problem with dvd2svcd. When i convert a movie, usually an .avi, I want it to be a 2 cd svcd. When I check the movie length and I then look at the bitrate tab it should become 2cds. But often it doesn't It's just a few megs larger like I end up with an extra cd for only 15 mb of video. Anybody know how this is caused or what to do to prevent it?

    Hello,

I have read elsewhere that it is sometimes best to lower the bitrate by a value 20 or 30 points less than the estimate of a bitrate calulator. They are good but if your just missing the mark drop the rate a little to have it fit better. The quality hit should be minimal.

If you want to be safe when using dvd2svcd and only want your output to be 2 cd's then just change the number of cd's on the bitrate page from 3 to 2. I've had this happen to me a few times and found that this is the easiest fix.

    good luck.
