i am using the vesa adaptor, both X1 and dvp642 works fine independently. however, when connected via the vesa adaptor, the x1 menu blanks out video options, suggested that the x1 failed to receive the signal. any suggestions other than return it?

in rgb mode you have no control over video signal ..
you will only in component or s-video or composite ..
this is normal on most video projectors .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
thanks. well, i do not see any video signal, what else can i try? there is NO video s480ignal when using the vesa adapter. The vesa adapter is working fine w a HDTV settop box, i assume that means progressive scan is function w the adapter. btw, the hdtv settop is output 1080i, and progressive scan should be 480?

well, i did it. It is now running progressive scan. First set the InfocusX1, menu>setting>Source check the auto source box. Then set the DVP642, after OK the progressive scan, they will ask for a reconfirmation for only 3 sec, if u missed it, it will revert back to non-progressive. Simple!
Thanks for BJ_M. Your message telling me the options blank out is normal encourage me to try again. thanks
