    Greetings ALL,
I have been attempting to convert 2 AVI files to 1 DVD file and have been having a few problems. First here is the details of the avi files from AVI Codec (they are both identical except for size MB)
    VIDEO
    482 MB, 990 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 640*352 (16:9), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported
    AUDIO
    218 MB, 448 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 6 channels, 0x2000 = AC3 DVM, Supported

I have tried to convert in TMPGEnc Xpress and trial version of the earlier version of TMPGEnc. When I try to make 1 file of the 2 I get an error at 50%, if I do them as 2 seperate files both error at 44%.

I have run various AVI fixers over the 2 files (Video Fixer, Virtual Dub etc) all report no bad frames.

I have tried to convert also with WinMPG video convert and a couple of other tools.

All fall over but dont seem to give me any reason why.

    Any help would be wonderful.

  2. Have u actually joined the files together with an avi joiner before converting?

I know its a really stupid question but I have seen this done before.

Join the files together with avi/mpeg joiner and then encode with DVDSanta. This is an amazing piece of software that will encode your files quicker and better than most progs out there!

I gave DVDSanta a try and it errored straight away.
Maybe it is one of the many programs that does not like SP2.
I will note though that I had this problem before I did a XP SP2 update. I was hoping that SP2 may have solved the issue.
