trying to encode avi to mpeg. when i start it, i dont see video of anykind. i just see black screen. So i cancel it and check out what that mpeg looks like.

The sound is there. but the video is a black screen. Also, when i cancelled, it says invalid pointer operation. Does anyone know why?

what do u mean by that? i can get to that men/tab. All i can do is check or uncheck the box. On mine, that directshow is near the bottom of list, and has a -1 priority.

I messed around to see if i can change it but i cant

Keep right-clicking and selecting Higher Priority until it is at the top of the list.
