Whenever I try convertion programs, then things appear in a purple/red tint in the finished mpegs, it's very obvious too as the red tint will just suddenly disappear and then return soon after. I have tried the following programs to convert which all do it:
PWI
Xing Mpeg Convertor
TMPEG
LSX
The only program that didn't was avi2vcd but that is SO slow!
Does no one else get this problem? The files are DivX AVI files.
Thanks for any help.

dude thats got to be macrovision...did you capture it from dvd or Vhs?????
-
No, it's not macrovision, it's not consistant, it's to do with the compression I think, for example i someone moves on the screen it tends to be like purple where they moved from, until kind of like the whole screen has a purple tint and then it just seems to reset and start again. The original avi works fine.
