baseball and Basketball are boring most of the game until near the end. Snoozefest. Football can be the same sometimes(my pick) and hockey, well Since Bobby Orr's days I no longer watch it.

  14. That one of my older brothers was/is a sports-aholic in an obseessive/competitive/compulsive/unhealthy way, it kinda put me off on most sports.

I enjoy hockey most...but don't really watch too much TV
Would watch Baseball if I had more free time.

Football - only if it's a big game.

Will have to give tgpo Performing Nude Gymnastics a try sometime though 8)

    Baseball.

When Soccer is getting more than 2% you know non-Americans are voting. It is an interesting sport to watch from time to time.

I've never understood the fascination people have with football. It's okay I guess, my 2nd choice for sure.

    Basketball ... ha ha!

Hockey... again, like Soccer, you know non-Americans are voting. Canada, anybody? I mainly like to watch the fights.

Cities with a Hockey team - those guys are voting for it. I love hockey - a real man's sport. GREAT chance you'll see some serious violence - maybe even some bloodshed - and nobody crying, tearing their shirts off and nobody wearing their "Mr. T Starter Set" while playing.

Lets face it....EVERYONE on the ice is ARMED with a stick that is used more often to smack some other guy in the shins that what it was intended for.

What other sport do we know of that you can actually see a fan throw a dead octopus onto the playing field....C'mon...
    Enough said....at least for me..

Well first off it's Football. They kick it so it's football. American Football is like a girly game of Rugby (which I Went for from there), and as it is more concerned with holding the ball who gave it the name Football? Take the damn padding off and then try it.

If you hadn't guessed I'm English, lol, and I live in a Rugby League town (St Helens) for anyone who may recognize the team, who are one of the best (well not recently). I rarely watch, but I watch it more than other sports.

I thought you had a little more respect tgpo.
You ******* yanks, conquering the planet ain't enough, obviously.
Football was invented in the UK, it isn't called American Soccer.
By all means call it soccer (football) but have some ******* respect for the rest of the planet
    Will
tgpo, my real dad, told me to make a maximum of 5,806 posts on vcdhelp.com in one lifetime. So I have.

I don't think I like your anti-American attitude, or underlying condescending political innuendo. When I was in high school, we called it "sissies in knee socks". I've since gained a little more respect for the game. I'm sorry if differences in languages offends you, but such is the price when you deal with an international audience.

    = American Soccer (a.k.a. Football)
    = American Football
    Maybe that would be better?

Don't tell me football is a sport you kick with your foot! I'm still amazed that the USA Women's team won that Olympic game by a goal made off the top of that woman's head!!! That was an entertaining game!

  24. Sports, how boring. Turn on the "Spike" channel some evening and watch MXC. (Stands for "Most eXtreme elimination Challenge", or something like that).

It's a Japanese , hmm, game show?, with insane competitions. The point seems to be maximum physical slapstick. Plus there's really rude English voice-over. My personal favorite: "Sinkers and Floaters".

Oh, and the replay of the "Most Painful Eliminations" at the end of each show is great, too.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

  27. I think all games have their own uniqueness about them. Everyone has different taste. When someone says that a sport is boring, that is their opinion. Growing up I followed all sports and have grown to make Baseball my favorite sport for the following reasons.

1.Not played on time but innings
2.One of the hardest things to do in all sports is hitting a 90+ MPH baseball.
3.There is a lot going on in baseball you just have to have patience.
4.Most all other sports need contact to make it exciting.

Baseball gets a bad rap most of the time. It is a summer sport so most people are usually out. There are 162 games a year to choose from. That's more then any other sport.

Football is a weekly sport and mostly played in the non summer months. Most people are home to watch. Football has 16 games a year. If you blink your eye you might miss one.

One thing is I really like to play football and hockey not as much as baseball but they are fun sports.
