Hello,
Could someone please tell me what exactly is a J-Termial like the one on a JVC HR-9911U SVHS Recorder? Can it be used to exchange video with a computer???
Thanks,
Mark

Not much info out there, but from JVC:
"J-Terminal
(Joint Level Interface Protocol) Through the J-Terminal you can easily integrate your JVC VCR, JVC Camcorder with PC and multimedia peripherals to create a computer-controlled video playback and image capture system. The necessary control software comes supplied with select JVC Digital Camcorders."
It appears to be a RS-232 serial cable to let other devices control your VCR, such as a computer. It would likely plug into your serial port at the rear of your computer. JVC should have the software for control at their website.
Doesn't appear to have anything to do with actual video transfer. Just a remote contol for your VCR from your computer.
