  1. Probably a usless question, but is there any program that will translate the audio from one langauge to another?

Mostly from Chinese to english or spanish to english, english to others would be usefull too.

Doesn't have to be perfect, but it would be nice to know what the movie is generally about. I have a friend that has alot of forien movies from when his dad was overseas. His dad knew the langauges but we don't! Would be nice to back a few up in english close enough we know what they are about other than just watching cars wreck and things blow up!

Also of course there are people in the USA that don't understand english, so a translator to convert some of my stuff to spanish and other could be usefull too. I can't record a home movie in spanish since I don't speak it!

  2. I have tried the Chinese <-> English. To me it losses 85% of the real or intended message. It ain't worth it to me.

But then, one man's trash is other's tresure.
It's time to kick some butts, and presto ( if you know what I mean )

Considering todays computers (and software) have a hard time translating written text from one language to another, I think we'll have to wait a while before spoken words can be translated. Ever tried a voice recognition application? Under ideal conditions, it might be trusted to start Word at your command, but that's about it...

  4. Crap twice.

That's what I thought, no chance.

And I just added an avatar and lost all info about my system at same time!
