Venting thread - It really pisses me off when ...

Being on the phone with HP Tech support for a good 20 hours, they couldn't solve my problem. I was then in CompUSA, I asked a guy and he knew within ten seconds the solution to my problem, plus he gave me the address to this site.

HP Tech support that's a bit of an oxymoron isn't it.

I've called them before...did you speak to anyone who spoke english? The only person I spoke to who spoke understandable english was a lady in accounts receivable when Raul transfered me to her by mistake

I was mad at first, but then I just kept calling back for entertainment purposes

Yeah, I think I have them figured out. The way it works is the first couple of times that you call they send your call to canada and you talk to a person that you can understand. After the first couple of calls, they start directing you to india or somewhere, where you can't understand the support guy. I had that many times. The guy couldn't understand my problem. I was trying to tell him that I think the dvd encoding software that they bundled with my pc was junk, he though my dvd drive was bad and was ready to send me a new one.

My laptop is not making that noise" He said "so you can get on line?" I said "yes, the problem with my laptop is the manufacturer's serial number label is covering the space bar on the keyboard" He said "OK, let me look that up"
