I was looking to either upgrade my Corel Graphics Suite to version 12, or maybe switch over to Adobe products and I can across this website.
http://www.adobesoftwareonline.com/
They are selling Photoshop v7 for $79.95. The main page says that they are full version, downloadable packages. Is this for real? Is theis is a warez site?
The cheapest price on pricegrabber.com is $279.00 for an unopened package.
Any comments?

The company gets away with it, by stating they are providing a copy for the customer. I would never order software from a site like that, but that is just me.

it is simply warez - but hidden warez as they have fine print that you are supposed to read
9.1 You understand that in order for FlashCorp Software to make you a copy of any software, you acknowledge that you are the legal owner of this same software, and are looking to just make a new copy for archival (backup) purposes only. You also agree to destroy all copies of the software in the event it is ever no longer voluntarily in your possession. You understand that only the licensed owner (with a valid serial number, where applicable) of the various software found on FlashCorp Software may use the services located here. You also acknowledge that the software you have was obtained legally and that you have the legal right to request this backup copy to be made. If you obtained your version though any other means, including any pirated versions, or if you do not already legally own the same version of the software requested, then you may not use this service. Furthermore, you agree to hold FlashCorp Software harmless for any damages that may occur for your failure to follow the U.S. Copyright and other laws as they pertain to the backup you are requesting. When you purchase any backup copy of software through FlashCorp Software, you agree to assume full liability in the event your actions are deemed illegal. FlashCorp Software does not condone software piracy and has every intention of complying with the laws pertaining to the duplication of software.
in other words -- you get the software at that cheap price but no serial number -- and no dongle ... and NO RETURNS or money back :P
this same company used to supply you with a keygenerator (they even said so in thier help page) , but i dont know if they do that any more ..."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
From their TOS...
"If we do decide or are forced to issue a refund or recieve a charge-back, your debt will be turned over to our collections department and you will be charged no more than one thousand dollars to cover our loss. "
So in other words...if I request a refund and they decide to grant it they can charge my credit card $1,000. That is SOME refund! No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space. -

Where does this software come from ?
The software is shipped from Eastern Europe.
hhahahaha -- send your credit card number to Eastern Europe --
AUTOMATIC UPDATES.
Even though you are not able to register the product online you will be able to receive automatic updates of the programs. When updates are ready to install you will see a popup window or an icon at the right bottom corner of your screen. Then you have to click on the icon and follow the instructions.
that is even better -- they also install spyware and a troj on your system !!
Where do I get technical support?
We do not provide technical support. You can find the necessary information on the installation in the program files (usually called “Read me")
also very good support is included ..."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

true --- but after sending your CC to Eastern Europe --- your CC will be junk anyway ..
not ALL the time -- but so many scams from that area on ebay it is nutz --- sad for the real bonifide companies in that area that do produce or do good work .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
If I were you I would try The Gimp before you buy anything. It is a free open source image manipulation program, found at www.gimp.org. It has almost all the same base features of Photoshop and such, only free.

speaking of photoshop .. you know that older versions of photoshop can be bought for next to nothing and are very very good ... photoshop 3.x for years was considered top of the heap -- it even was ported to sgi machines ... paintshop pro is also an excellent program and older versions (and even new versions) can be bought real cheap ...in fact for some uses - i prefer paintshop pro over photoshop ..

best place to buy software is a college bookstore, assuming you're a student & don't mind a student version.. Those don't come with tech support cause they expect you to get that in your class.
