As i was doing some development on v2 i needed to find out about nav packs etc on mpegs. Anyway i was having to fire up S2D and letting it loose on some mpgs just to check. I thought i'd put something together to give me the info from some S2D bits i had lying around. The result - Mpeg Details v1.0:

    also has a preview:

it works from the contect menu when you right click on an "mpegfile" files (as defined in the registry... you can add more to this.... mpv, vob, mpa etc)

It is large in size (2.5MB) as it is just resusing some components i am still developing for SVCD2DVD.

Note: Preview will only work if the mpeg will actually play in Window Media Player.

Also it is a .Net 1.1 Framework application.....

I thought it may be useful so some people as an alternative to other AV file property applets out there.....

    Download it here.

  2. I have lots of video files on my hard drive, which I would like to make a list of (including things like what codec...mpeg1, mpeg2, avi, etc...resolution, ratio, audio codec, etc)...it would be handy if you could call this program for a group of files or a folder and have it output the results to a text file.

How difficult would something like that be to write? Don't need any of the fancy stuff (like the preview), but the other window (where the info is) looks like just the place to start.
