I have created a video of still pictures using ProShow Gold and want to upload the files to my webspace in my ISP so that others can view the video.

The software creates a .ISO file. What programs do I need to have these .iso file viewble by other people?

Tried to search the whole site, but could not see anything what I am planning to do...

    Thank you

    Hello,

If it's an mpg file anybody should be able to view it. If it's avi make sure you let them know what type (ie divx, xvid, etc..). Other that you should just be able to post the file itself.

  3. Try to open it with your browser & see if you can watch it. You'd be surprised what they can show.

Convert the video to WMA, or MOV format. Upload the file to your site and the browser will take it from there.

WMA is preferable simply because nearly everyone has Windows Media Player. You can upload as MPEG but the file will have to have a link to it that can clicked so they can use the "save as" option.

If it's an .ISO file, then that is a file meant to burn to disk, probably not what you want. If you wanted to burn it, use a program like NERO and burn it as an 'image' file.

If that's the only format that it is in, then ISObuster can retrieve the files.

The MPEG or video files are what you want to put on the web for people to see. As mentioned above, the most compatible format for the web is probably Windows Media Player or WMA format.

Oh yea I fogot to mention that.... Use your editor to create videos. Any one of the formats mentioned above.

BTW, ISP's usually give you a limited amount of space and videos can be huge. A full frame DVD compliant MPG at a slightly reduced quality setting can eat up about 50mb per minute.

Look into how much space you have before you go through the trouble.
