  1. Hey I tried adding a bin and cue file to a blank cd-r but I struck a problem. The files together are 800mb and my cd-r only holds 700mb. Instead of buying a 90min disc I was just wondering if there was some way of compressing the size of the files so they fit onto the cd-r. I've tried using the over run process but I had no luck. Is there any other way?

  2. Please try to do a little basic research before posting. This has been asked so many times before. Also please try to use a subject line that describes your problem.

You can burn more to a VCD than a data CD because a VCD does not use error protection. This allows it to hold "more" data.

Burn these files as a VCD and it will work no bother.

I have noticed very often with bin and cue files, that they usually exceed the size limit of the media. I guess it happens coz the file contains more info about how to burn the disc, apart from the actual data itself. When you burn the disc, however, the disc turns out fine. You might want to try with a cd-rw if you want to be really safe.
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

  4. I tried adding the bin and cue files to a vcd compilation and an error message popped up saying

    'The following problems were found'
'Streme encoding which is invalid for (super) Video CD
    -no video
    -no audio

    any ideas?

  7. On the "Recorder" menu select "Burn Image". Then pick the CUE file from the File dialog. If that doesn't work your BIN or CUE files are corrupt.
