  1. Well I had a brain Fa*t the other day. I was going to make a DVD copy of my parents 8mm movies DVD that I had just put togeather. As I started the copy I remembered I still had the DVD-RW in the drive. The DVD-RW had all the raw data MPEG files on it. Is there any way to retrieve any of the files? When I put the DVD in the drive it says the disk is empty but in fact I think only about 8-10% may have been overwritten. I have looked several places for a "fix" but nothing about DVD data recovery. Would anyone know of a program to recover the data???

    Thanks in advance.

  2. there are a good number of data recovery. i have used Powerquest Lost and found, and Ontrack EZ recovery to retrieve data, but as i remember this was for HDD. i never attempted to revover from an optical disk that was partially erased.

a friend mentioned this company to me, and you may want to take a look:

I'm not sure if this will help, but you could give ISOBuster a try.
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

  5. Well I gave all three of your ideas a try and none of them worked (darn). I want to THANK all that made suggestions. I have to admit I think the files have gone to the big bit bucket in the sky.

    THANKS again,
