Anyone know if I got a Model SOHC-5232K (cheapie $35 Lite On 16X DVD Reader) if I could use K-Probe with it? Or does k-probe require a dvd combo drive?

The SOHC-5232K is a CDRW/DVD-ROM COMBO. For KPROBE it's best to use a LITEON DVDRW but you may use a DVD-ROM. Better accuracy is used by a LITEON DVDRW compared to a DVD-ROM.
