  1. I've done what it says to in the guide for VDub on Multisegment Capture spill system but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I want to save the file to a drive with 17GB of free space, so in the capture drive section I set up just one spill drive. That didn't work so I tried listing the drive more than once, in other words I set up this drive a four spill drives but that didn't work. Each time that I tried to use a spill drive I did check the Enable multisegment capture option so I know that isn't the problem. Lastly I tried to convert this partition to NTFS but I am using Windows 98 SE and i don't think that I can convert to this. Can someone tell me how to convert to NTFS in Win 98SE if possible or perhaps maybe a more detailed description on how to overcome the 4GB limit on FAT 32.
Thanks for any and all help.

  2. either get a copy of NT or Win2k. Dos, Win 3.11, 95, 98, Se, ME all do not support NTFS. I break the file up and let my conversion devices merge the final product.

I rip (Smart Ripper) so that each chapter is its own *.vob.

I then use DVDtoAVI but only in groups of ten *.vob's.

Then I use TMPENge to create the *.mpg's (again in the same groupings created by DVDtoAVI).

after I have three or four *.mpg's I then merge together using the MPEG tools in TMPENge.

    then I de-Mux and re-Mux.

I use NERO to burn to VCD.

It may be a few more steps than other people use but it has worked for me.

  4. 91BRAVO,
I was thinking about just making multiply 4GB files but I wanted to convert them all at once while I was away from my computer because it takes so long to convert the AVI files. I just might take this route though if NTFS doesn't work out. Thank you

I have been looking into NTFS for Win98 and it looks like I need a dual boot system. I was just wonder if this is the way you went. Also if so are you capturing in Win98 or NT/2000. Thanks for your help.
