  1. Ok, I was setting up the movie Blow for a nice cce reencoding via dvd-rb. The movie is one of those Infinifilm deals. I have used the program a few times now and am comfortable with using it.

When I got home from work, CCE had frozen up. So I closed dvd-rb and cce and restarted it. Had an appointment to keep so I left after I was sure it was ok. Got back and it was stalled again. Repeated the above but this time sat in front of the computer and watched the cce process. All was well but then cce began to run very slowly at 0.5 Mbps. It had been running at 3.0 and above before I had gone to work. Then, as before, it stalled again. Now I don't know if this was a CCE error or a DVD-RB error since CCE was running...Could it have been an AviSynth error?

The only thing I did differently was use dvd-rb 0.59. Before that i was using 0.56. The version of CCE i have is 2.5.

    Thanks.

    Just frozen, no error?

Are you reencoding from the HD, or from the DVD ROM?

What are the parameters that the CCE window shows when it freezes
    - it is during the .vaf generation or during the actual .m2v encoding
    - Number of frames of the cell
    - VBR for the cell (min and max range
    - At which frame does it freezes?
    - Does it freezes allways at the same point?
    - Have you tried to stop cce and just continue?
    - Or, after closing RB and cce, open RB and use the 3-click method (just uncheck "One click.." (in the Mode menu. I think). "Select Encode", and when a pupup appears offering to start encoding from the last unfinished cell answer "YES"

  3. Yes it was frozen...anytime I restart it, it would freeze again in nearly the same position. I THINK this happened during the .vaf creation sequence.

Unfortunatley, I deleted the entire project and i was going to do it again using 0.56.
