I am attempting to capture relatively noisy VHS on an ATI TV-Wonder. The source is not horrible and does not jump around or anything, but when I capture, parts of the video that I capture looks horrible (sections are jumping around and the color gets screwed up). It only does this in parts of the video though. I have captured off of good VHS many times with no problems. Any suggestions?

to correct that you need a TBC to stabailize the video. cost from $200-$5000+.
-
Wrong, video stabalizers can be found for about 20$ US. About 40 Canadian or something.

I had this same problem. I went to RadioShack and bought one of those
gold-plated composite video cables and it solved my problem; incredulous, I
switched back to the old cable and the jumpiness returned, switched to the
new cable and the picture was stable.
So, you might want to give this a try before you spend big money on expensive
hardware.

I have gold plated Audio & Video lines from the VCR to my capture card. (They are from Radio Shack too). Pier8, where can you get video stabilizers? Thanks,

BTW, this is not a copy protected tape I am trying to capture. It is just a high generation copy of a television show from the 80s. I can see slight jumpiness in the area an area (on the the tape) but when I capture, that area REALLY jumps around.
