Heyas... I was wondering if anyone know of an audio editing program that will .. for example, take an audio from a battle scene in a movie and seperate it into tracks so you can mute the music and keep the sound effects and/or lets you extract just the voices or just the sound effects or just the music, etc etc...

Or anyone know any other way of doing this?

    thanks

There are programs such as BeSweet which will let you convert a 5.1 AC3 file into 6 mono wave files if that's what you mean. In terms of editing there are certain filters for programs that will remove the vocals from a stereo track, but nothing I know of that would do what you want.

    Hello,

You could also check out audacity, soundforge, and other audio programs listed in the tools section on the left <---. There should be some combination of programs to achieve what you want.
