  1. Hi,
When I play DVDs or some others interlaced video formats (eg. from my camcorder) through Media Player or Real Player (even in editing in Vegas), the picture is everytime interlaced (blurred lines).

I tried install Codec Pack, Power DVD, WIn DVD, but no codec has realtime deinterlacing or has it ?

I know things about ,,Interlacing & DeInterlacing´´ but there must be some way how to play classical interlacing (TV) DVDs on PC without blurred lines picture....I hope ?

Can You Help me please ?

    Thanx
    Peter

Fraid your out of luck, you cant.

But what you can do is use software 'de-interlacing', as you know.

This comes in various 'flavors'. If you take a look at VLC (for instance) and play a video (a DVD for example) file go to the VIDEO tab>DE-INTERLACE and look at the options (Bob, Blend, Linear etc). You will find similar options in MPC: Media Player Classic (under MPEG) but unfortunatley the option to set the de-interlace method is now missing in a lot of commercial software DVD players as they usually now just use one 'fixed' method (so 'the public at large' can use their players without even ever having to think about de-interlacing).

Pc monitors do not 'do' interlacing so you need to 'de-interlace' (convert to progressive>ie, 2 fields interlaced to 1 frame progressive 'on the fly').

Each 'flavor' of de-interlacing gives a different end result NONE of which are as good as a TV's 'natural' method.
