  1. welp, last night they were ok today all I get is missing codec, no id number and it wont play in wmp, it will in quicktime, but that doesnt help me because I cant convert it to mpeg due to the program that converts says the same thing. not sure what to do.

    A couple of tips:

    Fill in your computer profile.

    Mention what type of file you are trying to play.

    Mention what codec you think it uses.

    Mention the program you are using to convert it.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. nothing has helped, yet I can still use quicktime to view it, but it looks pixelated. any suggesitons ?

  6. what type of file is it?? mpg? wmv? avi?

    try gspot to identify the file properly

  7. sorry for leaving that out. its an AVI, it used to say windows media file audio/video, but now just says video clip, and that I'm missing some codec, i have no idea what codec its talking about. Ive run gspot and some other stuff, and they cant figure out what codec is either, the one that I do think it is called ccdvsd/YY or something close to that. any suggesitons are appreciated
