I just tried to upgrade my Real Player on a machine and got a message saying that a file is missing. I checked further and am missing this whole folder. C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\rpplugins\pdge3260.dll
The items in bold are what I'm missing. I'm sure I can create a folder on my own, but can someone help me with the file. I tried installing it 4 times with the same problem. My other machines do not have RealPlayer, This machine Has Real Player, but no QuickTime. Just the way I have my computers set up. Yet they all have Windows Media Player (because it came with the OS).
The OS on this machine is NT, but it should still work. Anybody able to help or send me the file if they have it?

Sorry Doramius. I don't have Real Player. I did a search anyways, but I don't have that file.

Why not use real alternative.
It will play the files without the tsr file. -
I've found Real Alternative doesn't play streaming audio and video. There is a streaming audio site I listen to and my Real Player isn't working. It's the only setup they have or I wouldn't use Real Player. I think it sucks.

Doramius,
this may not suit you.
I needed a way to play streaming and non streaming
real video minus the bloat that comes with realplayer.
Using a link partly hidden at the BBC website I was
able to download a Win98 version of realplayer. It installs without the usual rubblish and works just fine
with streaming video/radio. -
It's here...but you gotta look through the list -

I use Real Alternative now, but when I used Real Player, I was able to install just the player and none of the extras that come with it.
It has to do with the settings during and after installation...and you also need to disable the player at startup and disable all the update popup reminders.
Without all that stuff, it's nice.
Real media has its advantages - it doesn't suck if you know how to use it and if the files aren't set to the crappiest/lowest bitrate/quality. -
I ended up having to talk to a support technician. He says WinNT doesn't support the newest version, but it supports one version back. So I downloaded it and it's working now. I had to wait on hold for 48 minutes. I'm at work so I just left it on speaker while I did web surfing. I'm usually not in the net at home so where else can I post whore?
Thanks All for your help. even though nobody provided any real useful information :P -
RealPlayer sucks, true story.
I think VLC can handle Real media. May want to check that one out. -
I normally don't use Real Player, but it's the only streaming program I use on my NT station. NT sucks too, so I might as well keep them together. I only need it at work anyway.
