There are probably many people here that have the basic video editors that came with their burner (such as Ulead Video Studio), and want to do more advanced video editing, but can't afford apps like Adobe After Effects.

Well, there's good news. Go to http://www.debugmode.com/ and download Wax and WinMorph. Two excellent and FREE apps. Don't let the "FREE" fool you, these are very powerful video programs. They're not as feature packed as AE, but you'd be amazed at what you can do with them.

Wax has multi layered and Keyframe editing. It will also do nice 3D renderings. WinMorph does some real cool warping and morphing on images or video. You can check out the tutorials to get an idea of what they can do. Both apps can be used as standalone or as plugins for your Video Editor. I used them as plugins for Premiere and was able to create some cool effects with them. While you're there, download their great FrameServer as well.

Even if you don't want to do special effect right now, it's only a matter of time before you do. These apps are just way too cool to be free!
