Rumors are going around that Lucas is thinking about making Star Wars 7, 8, & 9 now. What do you think he should do?

I can't wait for the premeire of Episode 7, On May 28th 2010.
Only problem I see is that all the books that have been written after ROTJ. Would he use those as scripts? Or use the old Alternate Universe Theory.....

1-6 (well actually 1,2,4-6) have been enough for me. I've read too many Star Wars continuation novels to really be interested in 7-9. So far, 1 and 2 were excellent entertainment, but too inconsistent with 4-6. 7-9 would probably also be kickass entertainment, and who knows, maybe more consistent (that should be easier since the future has yet to happen, unlike 1-3). But if they are made, IMHO the driving motivation will be: to make lots of money!!!!

He should make them based on the Zahn novels.

  6. How about Star Wars vs Star Trek movie? Both are getting to the point of thread baren so to speek.

Would be nice to see the famous duel of Darth Vader talking to Archer saying. "I am NOT your Father!" While a vulcan is trying for an neck pinch on Vader. Or duilling deathstars going after the planet killer from the orginal STTOS! Or each other!

Kingons vs Wookies! Kirk and Luke vs The Empire and Romulans. The possiblities are endless! Enough for at least three movies!

They would pull from both fan bases! The box off gross would be astrominical!

Youll laugh, You cry, You will kiss your 10 bucks GOOD by! Yes Baskball is a peacefull planet! Bam!

I like it. They ought to be able to milk the public for a half a billion more in just regurgitated hybrid plot lines and a wardrobe change.

<note to self - buy Paramount and Lucasfilms stock>

  9. Beyond the money from just the movies think of the various revision that both group heads could come up with! There would be movies from now to the 24 century!

  10. The books Zahn did were fine. We don't need movies to drive the storyline home.

I have heard rumors he might make movies based on the Hand of Thrawn duology. Formation of the Empire in Star Wars I, peace with the Empire in Star Wars VIII. Seems fitting enough.

  12. Since SW is being release shortly. 21 I think. Take clips from that. Combind with clips from this season of Enterprise and heavy use of Photoshop and Primiere to blend the two together. Replition - Darth Vader fighting Archer - The Rebelion. This could be the long sought after sequil-Prequil-whatever to Hardware Wars!

Excuse me the guys in whight coats are at the door. My new padded video editing room is ready....

All kidding aside. It would be nice to see the peace part for SW 7-9. The restoration of the Republic.

  14. I still think the New Jedi Order would make for some good moviegoing. I'm partial to death, destruction, and near-collapse of organized government myself...

Of course, Chewbacca would be gone in the first movie...

    Hello,

Wait! In rotj se coruscant celebrates by blowing up the emperors statue! That would mean they simultaneously upheaved the government in rotj se. Therefore the fall of the empire is final in the special editions.

Though, of course you could do the remnants of the Empire - Admiral Dallaa maybe???

I think George Lucas should bring the Star Wars story back to WW2 Europe.

They can be done, with the following provisos:

    1. Lucas must write only a story treatment, and then hire competent scriptwriters to write the screenplay.

    2. Lucas must not direct.

    3. Lucas must not be allowed to make any casting decisions.

How about this: Lucas must not have anything to do with it whatsoever! Ha...

    And forget the WW2 stuff!

  20. But it may work for Enterprise...

Can just see the combo movie:

You cringe in fear when the Deathstar blew up Prince Liea world....
You cringe in fear when the Xindystar riped up Trips sister home.....

    Now get double the horror....

    Star Enterprise!

Twice the badguys twice the heros and twice the battles!

Directed by Jothan Franks. The director from Thunderbirds Live action movie.

If memory serves me, I recall there were 12 scripts all together. I even had a list of what the names of each of the scripts were but can't locate it anywhere.

    Please make the movies!

Wasn't the Sphere of Death from last season's Entriprise just a recycled deathstar?

Yep, thought so too. Oh well, Enterprise doesn't have much going for it.

  27. Yep. But enterprise's "Death Star" was much more visual since it was spinning rings within rings and did it with a smaller unit.

Cant you see it.... The both fire on each other blowing out that part of the universe faster than it takes to do the kessel run!

Or a Vulcan trying to do the neck pinch on Vader? Your Vulcan neck pinch is no match for the Dark side of the Force!

And that famous line.... "Flordia is a peacifull Planet..."

Well I suppose the actors from the originals are now old enough to have small rolls and perhaps focus more on Jaina, Jacen and Anakin. The Zahn stories are great, I haven't read too many EU stories, but Zahn's Grand Admiral Thrawn Trilogy is a really good one.
