I just bought a new hard drive and decided to do a new clean and fresh windows install. I have everything up and running again but now I'm having burning problems. For some reason during the burning process decrypter just stops. Sometimes it only burns a few minutes, sometimes it makes it halfway or more, only a couple have been successful. I have installed the adaptec ASPI version 4.71.2 and I've also installed the Intel Application Accelerator. I usually only use decypter to burn but I have also tried RecordNow DX with the same results. Does anyone know of anything else I should try to cure this. I don't think it's a media problem because I'm still using the stuff I was using before I got the new drive. Any ideas

  2. Perhaps you should try ASPI 4.60. Tried 4.71 some time ago, it caused weird burning failures on my comp, reverted to 4.60, all is well again. Good luck.

(Edit) : Install, reboot, run aspichk.exe to see if it took. Just in case someone out there has the same problem.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
