I just bought a new hard drive and decided to do a new clean and fresh windows install. I have everything up and running again but now I'm having burning problems. For some reason during the burning process decrypter just stops. Sometimes it only burns a few minutes, sometimes it makes it halfway or more, only a couple have been successful. I have installed the adaptec ASPI version 4.71.2 and I've also installed the Intel Application Accelerator. I usually only use decypter to burn but I have also tried RecordNow DX with the same results. Does anyone know of anything else I should try to cure this. I don't think it's a media problem because I'm still using the stuff I was using before I got the new drive. Any ideas![]()

Perhaps you should try ASPI 4.60. Tried 4.71 some time ago, it caused weird burning failures on my comp, reverted to 4.60, all is well again. Good luck.
(Edit) : Install, reboot, run aspichk.exe to see if it took. Just in case someone out there has the same problem.Pull! Bang! Darn!
