    previously was able to hear sound with rp and/or wmp with videos i have on computer... but latelyly i dl a lot of new programs and crap so i know i messed up because now rp and wmp no audio and says"unsupported audio format' gspot can only partially render because of unsupported format.

    i am able to play the file and hear sound with videolan player... but thses videos were previously audible with rp so i know its something i did by dl something and or deleting something...
    i cant do system restore because all my restore points are gone???
    any ideas? thanks

  2. try re-installing the affected software, and codecs.

    you can always make a restore point now to prevent further degradation, before starting.

    check your sound device as well to make certain it has all its drivers, and is free of trouble.
