  1. I just finished backing up a movie of mine, and when I tried my final product on two different dvd players, one works, and the other doesn't.

I'm not sure what I did, but i'm confused.

On one dvd player, when the dvd loads it sits at once screen, and I have the option of clicking play right away (to get into the dvd), or it automatically loads itself. It is as if it's skipping a few chapters or something because i hear it.

On the other dvd player, it just stays at the main screen, not loading anything.

I thought I may have SOMEHOW removed the boot command? Is this possible?

If so, how do I re-create it?

    Thanks!

Not all dvd players can play the same media. I have 2 dvd players and some media work on one but not the other.

  3. I've tried many other backed up movies and they play just fine on both players (dvd-r).

So something went wrong in the encoding.. could it be the boot process?

Nothing to do with the encoding unless its totally garbled with no sound or picture, its the authoring part that tells the dvd player how to play the dvd,if you authored properly then it should play on both dvds,if the dvd was poorly burned then one dvd player might play it better than the other.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

Sorry i should have been more clear with my first post. I didn't mean jsut dvd-r, i meant differnt brand name dvd-r. Such as memorex, maxwell. That kind of thing. Did the problem start after you started using a differnet brand media than you used to use?
