    Every time i try 2 convert certain divx movies to mpeg-i convert with no sound. I have tried 2 extract the sound into a wav file-then convert the video adn soudn seperate.This is done using Virtual Dub.I have a list here:

    when you convert the audio to wav with virtualdub are you sure that you have select audio->full processing? the wav file should be about 10 MB/minute.

    Baldrick,
    Just to clarify, the 10MB per minute will vary depending on the avi's source audio.

    You're not suggesting to have VirtualDub do resampling

    There are a couple of better resamplers - SSRC, SCMPx - off the top of my head. The important thing is to have VirtualDub convert to PCM.
