I know, others have posted bad things about them before, so I shoul;d've stayed with RIMA.
But this place is about as bad as Meritline! Shipped a slightly different product, so it's not eligable for the rebate- i decided to try the Matte 100-pack of the Ritek 8x with $10 rebate they shipped unmarked generic 25 pack spindles of the shiny media. No UPC for the rebate, and who knows if it's legit Ritek.. no label, based on the dye color it does look real and the media ID is Ritek but it's only seen as 4x by my LG burner (4082B)
So first I call and get the run around after i give him my info, then I get disconnected from the hold music the 3rd time I was put on hold. Call back...wait.. someone else... I have to explain everything again, the other guy had all my info he could've called me back...NOPE! So I go through it all again! Then she (Jennifer) says she'll talk to marketing and call me right back... NOPE! nothing so far no call back. Wasted 45 minutes on this so far not worth it. Deal with a legit place like Rima.com or Newegg. this ain't worth it!

Bought some DVD cases, 7 were broke and the rest looked like they had been in dirt and ran over. Had dealings with Jennifer, same thing, run around. Called every week for five weeks and finally wore them down and got replacements. They will do anything to avoid good customer service. I will never deal with them again.

Hmmm... I ran into a problem with media and I e-mailed them. It took 48 hours or so, but got my RMA and advice on compatible media by return e-mail. Shipped the discs back, got a check refund in about two weeks.
Try e-mail and see if that helps. -

Mike Rules. Jennifer has been nothing but great to me, as well.
Jennifer called me to let me know once when I had just put a little note in my "anything you want to say" box of the order, when I said "I hope I have these by saturday!" Just called to remind me UPS dosnt ship on Saturday.
Mike was awesome, had some bad discs, I buy a lot from them, but had alreadey used up most of the discs etc and didnt want to return them. He gave me a personal coupon for $5. (not much, but I didnt spend much for the discs, either).
Again with Jennifer, I called, had placed an order, wanted to changed it. It had already been processed and couldnt be changed..asked if there was anything I could do. 3 minutes later, the order was canceled, requested an email to verify, she emailed the verification, and even waited on the line to make sure my new order, I could get a coupon code to work that I couldnt get to work earlier, if I couldnt, she was going to get my odrer number and discount it.
BTW - that was tuesday at about 9:30am. I got my correct order today. (Thursday).

I havent had too many problems from them.
As for the cases, I believe you will find that they come from a third party. This party supplies cases for Meritline, Supermedia, and Shop4Tech. They probably supply for others too. Lately the quality of the cases have been going down. More and more blemishes. -
I have made a number of purchases through supermediastore.com. they have been the supermedia branded dvd-r's. I have been EXTREMELY happy with the results, the timing, and the price.
I'd try this Mike person and see what happens. -
I think Lobe is overreacting and drawing too many conclusions that are unsound. This is how stupid rumors start.
I've NEVER had a problem that wasn't fixed within mere days. Call them, calmly, and slowly explain the situation. None of that fast-talking stuff, nice and slow.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I might me over reacting, but still Jennifer said she would call me "right back" that still has not happened, the other person disconnected me after he had all my info and was checking on it... he did not call back either.
How much time is it worth to me? That's just bad customer service, and I'm not sure I should bother to call them AGAIN, when they'll just waste more of my time and promise to call back again... I just don't believe them now.
I'll just dispute the charge, and shop elsewhere in the future.
Not a bid deal, just wanted others to be aware, as I'm grateful others here recommended rima.com, they have been excellent, and I would've never known about them if it weren't for here. The same others shared good experiences with SuperMediaStore(and sure, some not so good) so I thought I should share my experience.
Really it's over a $10 dispute, that just frustrates me to waste so much of my time on something so small... that just makes them seem even worse to give me the runaround over $10. It's in their court now, I will never buy from them again, and I will always pass this experience on to others. -
I have ordered over the past 6 months 1250 DVD-R's from Supermediastore. I have had one problem and it was resolved with one email. Just my 2 cents.
-
I have also been ordering from Supermedia Store and had one problem and they offered me a personal discount code for $10 within a matter of minutes. This is the best customer service I have seen

AFAIC, Supermediastore is SUPER terrible. I had two issues with them in a 6th month period, and got the runaround similar to Lobe. B/C I experienced it I know lobe isn't overreacting at all. He also isn't asking for any special treatment, as neither was I. Terrible customer service in my two experiences so I also won't every buy from them again. There are too many better places to purchase from, I don't need em'.

I've ordered from Supermediastore about 5 times over the past year and everything was smooth. FWIW

I got 100 pack of supermedia 4x dvd-r.
shipping was on time. dvdDecrypter and dvdarchitect 2 will not burn them at 4x. dvdinfo pro shows them to be 2x even though the hub band printing shows 4x.
e-mailed supermediastore twice in one week period. no response.
called them. got put on hold, for two hours. good thing i have nationwide long distance and a speakerphone.
screw supermediastore. they'll never get my cash againdrink up....the world's about to end -

A few stores have multiple web sites with various names. Sometimes your cookies get used between them. Meritline for example, is also cdrdvdrmedia.com, if I order at cdrdvdrmedia.com my meritline cookie comes up.

Had no problem with Supermedia. Ordered around 300 Ritek white printable and ProDisc 4x white printable and no problems with them. Shipping was fast and well packaged.

Hi Lobe,
Regarding the rebate issue, we are sorry for the inconvenience you met. Since Ritek 8X DVD-R media have different packages: one in 25-pack cake box and another in 100-pack cake box. The $10 mail-in rebate is for 100-pack cake box only. So we made two different product codes for these two items. One starting with DVD01X0202 and another starting with DVD01X0168. We also mentioned in the campaign page that the $10 mail-in rebate is only for the first item not the second one. I am not saying that is your fault. Actually, we know that situation is very comfused. So we were thinking about if customers ordered DVD01X0168, they are going to lose $10 mail-in rebate. In that case, what should we do? Then we set the price for 100 pack DVD01X0202 at $59 with free shipping. Customers pay actual $49 after $10 mail-in rebate. And we dropped the price of 100 pack DVD01X0168 to $52 with free shipping. That means if customer ordered no-rebate item, they only pay $3 more. And they don't need to worry about rebate hassles such as filling the form, mailing it back and waiting 2 months for the check. That was what we did to benefit our customers.
Regarding customer services, we know there are a lot things we need to improve. Actually, we are going to move to a new warehouse next Monday at Sep. 27, 2004. The new warehouse is 3 times bigger than our current warehouse. And we have had improved phone system, improved inventory control system and more customer service reps at new office. You're going to see that our services will improve rapidly in the near future. And we are going to do our best to serve our customers.
And if you have any questioin, you can go to supermediaforum.com and post your questions, suggestions and complaints there. Our marketing team is always there to help our customers.
Regards,
Roger

o.k, wait a second, what's wrong with this picture here? Ah, yes, it's this Lordsmurf person attacking yet again someone else for their honest feelings about supermediastore. I know I for one am sick of seeing this guy pretty much spam supermediastore garbage all over the place and then attack people who have "honestly" had issues with supermediastore. I know i'm not the first person to mention this because i've read others say the same thing. What's your problem lordsmurf, you got stock in Supermediastore??
This anubis person says they were on hold for two hours and you call them an idiot for doing so. Some people have "real" jobs, I being one of them, my guess is anubis is another. I've been on hold for well over an hour with Bellsouth on more the one occasion and I didn't hold the receiver in my hand, I did work until a representative answered the call. Seems like anyone who has a problem with supermediastore is an "idiot" to you. I think it's becoming more and more clear who the real idiot is. Time after time someone has a dispute with supermediastore and there comes lordsmurf to bash that person and defend supermediastore. If that isn't enough this guy says the MCC prodiscs so many are having issues with may even be better then the S03's in another post. Gee, where would you buy those MCC's from?...yep, you guessed it SUPERMEDIASTORE. I think i'm gonna puke, where is forum administration to put a stop to this guy! All I gotta say IS

I don't care if you're calling a doctor's office, information, or the store down the street. In my mind, anybody that is foolish enough to wait on hold for 2 hours is well ... foolish. Either that or lying.
Let's look at Mortomer's entire list of 26 posts. Ooo, isn't that interesting. I smell a shill.
I'll defend any store that gives good service: Rima, Meritline, Supermedia, Amazon, B&H, etc.... even Walmart! Got a whole list of them.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
