  1. Could someone please tell how i can remove a subtitle from an avi-file? or just replace it with another one

    If the subtitles were overlayed over the video within the AVI, then you cannot. They were "hard-coded" into the video frames and now form part of the video.

    Hello,

    If they are "hard coded" into the video you could try delogo for virtualdub. It won't get perfect results but it could work.

    There is a filter out (still in beta) that removes subtitles and logos from video. Tried that with a 20 second capture from TV and it did work. Although you would need a 20GHz (read twenty) to have descent performance.
