I'm currently improving the audio in wav files that yhave been extracted from music videos. The audio from the DVD vob file AC3 and I extract this to a wave file first.
I use Wavelab 3 to edit the volume and tone, and this is done at the sample rate of 48khz.
I then use Soundforge to convert this back to a mpa audio file so I can mux this back with the original video using TMPG.( I do not want to reconvert the video stream)
The problem is the audio is out of sync by a few hundred milliseconds to 1 second or so.(this is usually from the start of the file) Is there a delay correction I need to account for, or a better way of doing this so I don't loose audio sync.![]()
