i cant get a definate answer, so i'll just ask here. there are some shows i want to record on dvds, like the dave chappelle hbo comedy special, that i cant do on my toshiba rdxs32 because of cprm. if they dont have cprm, which do you recommend.

No. The only thing a DVD recorder cannot do is the same thing a VCR cannot do: bypass Macrovision when copying commercial VHS/DVD releases. (Although LiteON has some hacks to avoid this!)

the jvc was the first recorder i bought. great, but i needed the hdd so i went with toshiba. unfortunatly, its a -r/ram recorder which would put it on the same boat as the toshiba with cprm im pretty sure. can anyone with a lite-on help me figure this out?
